    Last week the second addition of Nine knights took place in Nebelhorn, Germany. The Nine Knights are Europe’s best freeskiers, invited by freeski legend, Nico Zacek and included Oakley’s Caja Schopf, Bene Mayr, Thomas Hlawitschka, Luggi Brucic and NicolasVuignier. They were invited to jump, what most are calling the best jump they’ve ever hit, the snow-castle.

    One of the most influential skiers in history, Shane McConkey, changed the world of free skiing forever. Whether it was doing the impossible on skis, making friends laugh or doing handstands for his daughter, Shane brightened the world of those around him. Shane died on March 26, 2009, while filming in the Dolomite Mountains of Italy.

Why you ask? So Oakley’s Grete Eliassen could achieve a monumental personal goal and truly change the game in women’s skiing.

    The highly anticipated Jon Olsson Super Sessions is back, bigger and better, and kicking off Monday, April 5th. The number of skiers on each team has multiplied, from single skier teams in 2008 to two-man regional teams in 2009 to this year’s three-man regional teams format (including Team WWW representing newschoolers.com). Keep an eye out for Oakley athletes Jacob Wester, Simon Dumont, Sigbjorn Tveit, Oscar Scherlin, Henrik Harlaut and Jossi Wells set to compete.

    I just recently returned from an amazing trip to Chamonix, France. I was out there with Oakley who is making a two-year film project about Seth Morrison. Seth is one of the most iconic big mountain skiers in the ski industry who has impressed the hell out of all of us with his amazing segments in ski movies for the past 10 plus years.
