James Stewart’s fame was born from being insanely fast… borderline reckless. But Bubba’s masterful performance in San Diego this past weekend – laced with bold strategy and steady riding – revealed the modern day JS7 as he clawed his way past Ryan Villopoto for the Supercross victory. Known to charge his hardest, despite the threat of crashing from the sheer power of today’s 450 cc dirt bikes, James’ riding in San Diego was nothing short of an eyebrow raiser for fans and the industry alike as he displayed a more mature, solid brand of racing for the fans.

When it comes to Ferrari, it’s not just the lure of a pretty ‘car’ that captures the imaginations of admirers across the Globe…It’s a dream. So it’s no surprise, in any respect, that the Prancing Horse’s new Formula 1 drivers make up a “Dream Team” of sorts, comprised of two of the most legendary active pilots in the world today. With much off-season chatter on team chemistry between Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen floating around the motorsports community, gossip finally melted away as the team sparked a new era and unveiled its completely redesigned 2014 car, the F14 T, at its Maranello headquarters last week. Sending shockwaves throughout, the new racing machine, laced with complicated, bleeding edge technologies – like a brand new four cylinder turbo engine (a rarity in F1, where bigger engines have been the norm), aerodynamic advances (nose, front fin and more) and a brand new chassis – is truly ushering the team into the new environment in the sport (with new rules).

For Ryan Villopoto, the key was to move forward after Anaheim II as fast as possible. The three-time defending King of Supercross threw himself back on target in his mission to defend his Championship with a commanding victory in Oakland this past weekend. Despite a late, ferocious charge from fellow Oakley star James “Bubba” Stewart, RV exerted his dominance and closed out the race to grab back the points lead in the Championship standings. “It feels good to be up here tonight,” he said following the win. “We have put in a lot of work at the test track, and I have a great team behind me and a great bike under me. I hope I can carry this momentum into Anaheim next weekend.”
