Mini-Mega Ramp: Bob Burnquist Lands Silver at X Games Asia
The Legend himself didn’t quite bring home a gold. But sometimes second isn’t always bad.
Oakley’s Skateboard Superstar grabbed a solid second-place finish in the Mini-Mega Ramp contest at X Games Asia – just edged by Pierre Luc-Gagnon in an insane final.
Throughout the title round, every rider pushed the limits. But it was Burnquist and Gagnon – two of the best in the history of the sport – that were throwing down at that higher level.
After Bob busted out a score of 94.00 to take the lead late in the final, Gagnon stepped it up on his final run with a Kickflip Mute Grab over the gap and finished with a strong with a Fakie 720 on the quarterpipe. His 95.00 was just too much for Bob to overcome.
Nonetheless, one dramatic finish for Bob! Peep the action below.
